Friedman on the 32 Thoughts Podcast this morning:

"The NHL is going back there. They're going back there, no question."

He's talking about Arizona and if you've listened to him over time you know that he rarely speaks that definitively unless he's pretty damned sure of something. He said that Smith isn't buying the name or any of the team trademarks. In fact he believes the NHL may inactivate the team and sell the assets (the players) to Smith and then reactivate the team once a new rink is built.
